traffic, considering someone told me you can't Google their abbreviations and find the site like you can with ours.

It's true.

Type DU into Google, and bingo. Democratic Underground comes up first.

I know one of the notorious Republic websites is quite amateurish. Very text heavy and very difficult to read. It looks like it was built in the late 70's before the internets even became a series of tubes.

Just really very terrible. Whenever anyone here quotes something, all I see is type that looks like Chinese.

And then there are the "people" at the other one, who always seem like they're drunk. Their stupidity knows no bounds.

Maybe they're looking forward to the Rupublics losing in '08, in order to rebuild political interest so one day, their sites will show up when they're Googled.

It's disgraceful. lol

And do people here really read those sites.

edit: typo

1. I don't like reading FR.
If it was a newspaper the ink would come off on your hands.

15. I posted on FR just once to see how long it would take for me to be tombstoned.
It took less than a minute.

2. rethug websites always seem to that a few things in common:
-- hideous web design
-- poor spelling and grammar
-- extreme hate
-- flags

These seem, to me, to be the common facets.

6. They Have Hate Radio
The blogoshpere used to be a right wing domain. Those of us who were around in 2000...pre-DU...can remember the many wingnut message boards and websites. Freeperland was already rockin'. Imagine a world without DKos, DU, Atrios, FDL... The web lends itself to those who are creative and innovative...two traits not associated with repugnicans.

They really don't need the web as they get their daily dittohead marching orders and can hear the parallel universe on their local hate radio station. In their world, they aren't losing...they've been in denial for a long time and now are too clouded in their silly primary to realize how out of the mainstream they are with the American electorate.

12. LMFAO
I clicked on your link and then substituted thet site that shall not be named for freeperville and clicked compare. CU doesn't even show up on the comparison graph. What a pathetic little circle jerk they are.

9. You have to remember
google went heavily republican. Remember they removed the website that brought up bush when you typed in disaster or something like that.

And if you notice very few things negative to bush and the republicans come up...google controls the output. So if it is bad news for anything republican it is cleaned. Maybe you should try ask or altavista and see what comes up.

10. I'm going to put out a shout in a separate thread as well, but I'm curious.
I remember a long time back (I think during the 2004 election cycle), someone posted a series of charts from a website that tracks how many visitors different websites get, and you could put 2 or more on the same chart for a comparison. FR, at that time, had significantly more traffic than we did, but interestingly enough while both sites spiked heavily, we spiked far higher almost becoming neck-in-neck with FR.

I'd like to look at that data again but I forget where it was found. If anyone knows can you please post it here? Thanks. :)

13. You typed in the wrong abbreviations, RimJob renamed it Banana Republic...
after Bush won in 2000. It also goes by BM or BS, or ED on bad days.
