Is Hillary capable of confronting our enemies?
Edited on Tue Dec-25-07 07:48 PM by gulliver
Hillary's just too nice. If there is one person in the race, Republican or Democrat, who seems like they just go around being nice and thinking nice thoughts all the time, it is Hillary Clinton.

I'll bet if somebody attacked one of our bases in a foreign land, Hillary would just sigh "My Goodness!" and send a scolding note to whoever was responsible. She just strikes me as that nice. That's why everyone loves her so much.

To keep America secure, we need a tough-minded, calculating, steel-belted realist, not someone like Hillary who sees the "good" in everyone and takes everyone at their face value. I'm sorry, but it just has to be said: Hillary is too nice to be president.

<joking...don't kill me>

1. Nobody except Kucinich...maybe Edwards, but I'm not sure about that one.
You talking about just foreign enemies or the enemies of the domestic kind, like Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld?

2. I'm sure the Clintons, the Rumsfelds, and the Cheneys...

...share a warm bond of friendship. Who do you think would be among the first White House dinner guests after Hillary's inauguration? That's what I mean about too nice. Who would want a Democratic president who is so loved by Rumsfeld, Cheney, and other Republicans?

;-)

6. The enemies that hate us for our freedom.
The enemies who want our Middle East oil. The "Enemy Americans" who don't sing "God Bless America" (or don't sing it well). One thing about our enemies is that they always seem to be against us. I've noticed that.

7. The ones who stand up to American global domination
You know, countries like Venezuela, Russia, China, Iran, etc that have the audacity not to kowtow to American imperialism.

11. Glad to see that your are joking
one of Hillary's better qualifications is that she is not so nice, she's quite tough and has the capacity to be meaner than hell. I would not care to be on her shit list; unlikely in the extreme since aside from those who know me personally I am a nobody.

No I don't think anybody who is a serious presidential contender personally gives a shit about me or about anybody else for that matter. I support her because I think her economic and social policies benefit me, and probably most Americans. I doubt if her foreign policy will be very different from Bill or George I, which is OK with me. She has shown an excellent capacity to work well with her colleagues in the Senate, so its quite possible she can get a positive agenda through congress. But I don't expect perfection, I do expect a big improvement.

But she can kick ass, and I have repuke friends who have voted for a democrat, who will vote for her just because she is tough as nails.

13. NICE is not going to do it.
The Bush regime is leaving the country in a horrible mess. We need someone with more testosterone and HC doesn't measure up.
