They took the truth and hid it away.

Under a bloody sheet and said there was nothing you needed to know. They said you had enemies but that they would protect you. If you did not believe them, then you were not a patriot. You were assisting the enemy. Still, your curiosity would not let you believe.

Why was the sheet red with blood? Why did they have to take away your freedoms? Those same freedoms that were guaranteed to your grandfather and his father before that. Yet, you were asked to surrender those. Do not ask why, they said.

But you could not march in their parade. You wanted to know the truth. What was under the bloody sheet? What were they hiding? Why do they say you have no right to know? Where is the truth? Where did they take it?
