Brzezinski's warning to the Senate's Committee on Foreign Relations delivered on Feb. 1st;
"A plausible scenario for a military collision with Iran involves Iraqi failure to meet the benchmarks; followed by accusations of Iranian responsibility for the failure; then by some provocation in Iraq, or a terrorist act in the U.S. blamed on Iran; culminating in a "defensive" U.S. military action against Iran that plunges a lonely America into a spreading and deepening quagmire eventually ranging across Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan."

The Daily KOS coverage here;http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2007/2/20/12937/4355My jaw about hit the floor when I read that. He's actually saying that the U.S. might stage terrorist attacks inside the United States and blame it on Iran? Is that what he's saying? Or is he saying that there will be some insanely coincidental, convenient terrorist attack in the U.S. that Bushco will claim was done by Iran? It seems to me he's actually suggesting that Bushco is capable of, indeed is perhaps planning, an
"Operation Northwoods" type of incident here in the U.S.
That is
exactly what he is suggesting.
