3. What would make him think that?
I think indirectly anyone who brainwashes seriously mentally ill people with fanatical religion is doing something dangerous, but I doubt that was the intended result. What do you think?

9. 50% chance it was an MK-Ultra operation.

Toss a coin and choose your side...heads or tails?

Certainly it is the Liberal Icons and Leaders who, coincidentally seem to die like that. Pat Tillman, the ONE man who could have gotten through to the Stupid White Male population (of which I am one), wound up with three Bushie bullets in his forehead, his armor and personal journal burned, and his family denied ANY information on the circumstances of his death.

FACT: Had Pat Tillman returned in 2004, unimpeachable as he was, he could have singlehandedly given Kerry margins of victory that could not be stolen.

FACT: All of these "unfortunate accidents" tend to benefit the Bushies immensely.

It's one thing to toss a coin and have "heads" come up two or three times in a row, but a dozen or a hundred? Then I begin to suspect...

Anyway, to return to the speculations at hand: The Bushies believe in the "Kill the shepherd and the sheep are easily dispersed," philosophy and, sadly, I see little to contradict that view.

When JFK, RFK, and MLK were murdered Liberalism never recovered.

It wouldn't surprise me if they got down to smaller targets, who were notable not for their political ability but for the simple ability they had, like Pat Tillman, to potentially reach millions of people at once.

In retrospect we have seen a key component of Bushie Startegy is silencing dissenting voices in a hyper-information environemnt where one needs an appropriately large "megaphone" to make one's self heard above the cacophony.

Looking at it this way, Lennon was a threat in a way no other rock-stars were before or since. The Beatles, to this day, are pretty much universally loved, even by young people who weren't even born until after Lennon died.

Anyway, to my mind, it's a coin toss. It could have been a "lone gunman" acting of his own lunacy.

But as the MK-Ultra docuemtns will bear out, mind control is best practiced onm already traumatized people.

Who knows? Now that the New Totalitarianism is unfurling, in retrospect, I tend to be suspicious.

50-50 chance.

13. Yes he was
He was a danger to anyone living a middle of the road life. He had it all -- guitar playing rock god, asian wife, tons of money, good drugs, and an independent streak a mile wide.

Lennon was a powerful voice that could turn on a hell of a lot of little voices just by his command.

18. No, but he was influenced by a right wing Christian group.
He was a member of a prayer group that would chant, "Imagine, imagine John Lennon is dead."

19. haha............
...now that is way out there!!

I admit, I usually think the govt has a hand in a lot of stuff but I have never once considered that they were involved in Lennon's death!

Besides, at the time he was killed, his problems with the govt were pretty much over....so what reason would they have to kill him then?

20.  I think it's possible considering what was going on at the time
After the following he got against the Vietnam war and this country being a war machine and then Reagan ready to bring his spoil upon this country Lennon posed a threat because of his influence . If you are young then perhaps the picture is a bit blurred .

I certainly don't buy the MDC story .
