Am I crazy, or do bad things happen when Bush is at the ranch?
First there was the Presidential Daily briefing, you know, the one which said "Bin Laden determined to strike in the United States"? A few days after he returned home from vacation, the terrorists did, indeed strike.

Then there was Hurrican Katrina. We've all seen the footage of a bored looking George W. Bush sitting silently as officials from the National Weather Service, NASA and even the much maligned Michael Brown (Brownie) from FEMA explained the possible consequenses of a catagory 4 hurricane hitting New Orleans. We all know how that turned out.

I'm sure there have been other things but I can't think of them right now.

Now there's the assissination of former prime minister Bhutto, a woman who, if she were elected, could seriously upset the regional status quo and the Bush admistration's cozy relationship with Musharef and the Pakistani military--a military which has not exactly exerted itself in finding Osama Bin Laden.

Right now my tinfoil is working overtime. Oh yeah, by the way, where is Cheney?

19. that was my immediate thought
he's on vacation at the ranch for FAR more many weeks than he should be each year... he's a loser, orders torture, a war criminal by invading another country on false grounds and without attack, and he frankly, is a mental midget - nuf said.

6. That's probably just because he's ALWAYS there.
He's taken more vacations than any real President ever did.
(In addition to working about HALF as many hours per day as
most have, when he's actually in DC.)

7. Not to jolt your tinfoil or anything...
...but Bush is supposed to go to the Middle East after his ranchacation.

I don't put anything past these evil dogs anymore. Bush is just the friendly
poodle who sits in front--while the attack dogs do their dirty work in the
background.

I wouldn't put anything past the attack dogs, the ones who really call the shots
and make the world go 'round.

I'm thinking that they see Bush as expendable, and that getting him out of the
way might be advantageous. Cheney becomes Pres, and then the real fun starts.

Yep. Total tinfoil, but in a BushCo world, last month's tin foil is usually
this this month's reality.

8. It's called "obtaining an alibi".
Yes, when the Bushies go on vacation, that is when we have to start worry about what Palusible Deniability they are setting up.

15. You're not crazy.
* was also at the ranch during the Tsunami in Indonesia too. But of course he had nothing to do with that.

And of course * could have cared less that it even occurred.

Same with 911 and Katrina.

Nothing to see here, move along. :sarcasm:

16. The tsunami, that's it! I knew I forgot something.
Short of having Dick Cheney sitting under the Pacific Ocean in his super duper tsunami machine, that could not have been a man-made event, but Bush's response was the same as his response to Hurricane Katrina, i.e. complete indifference until he was shamed into it.

20. After the tsunami, I think * was on a bender for like 3 days before he came up for air.
BTW-some people think that the Indonesian tsunami was manmade.

But that's too tinfoil for most people.
