Blair 'to confirm Iraq timetable'
A UK patrol in Basra
Some 7,000 UK troops are currently serving in Iraq
Prime Minister Tony Blair is expected to announce a timetable for the withdrawal of UK troops from Iraq.

Mr Blair is due to make a statement about the 7,000 British troops serving in Iraq at the Commons on Wednesday.

The BBC's James Landale said 1,500 troops were expected to return home in months, rising to 3,000 by Christmas.

Downing Street has not confirmed the reports but Whitehall sources have told the BBC the process could be slowed down if the situation in Iraq worsens.

ON EDIT: sort of.

3. Bush*t is not happy
He is going to talk to Blair about it, Im sure they will spin it big time.

Blair is thinking about his legacy, so he wants troops home as fast as possible, and Im also sure he got a message from everybody's favorite tax payer funded, never worked a day in our life family, The Royals.

Little wee Harry anit going to Iraq.

11. Just as well, too!
He's third in line to the Throne, for chrissakes! Do you realize what kind of target that would make not only of him, but of everyone else in his company?

10. Is Blair going to get a phone call tonight....about the Colgate Toothpaste
Incident at Camp David...and ask his buddy Tony to back off his troop withdrawal...

Nothing like "intimidation."

BTW: Doubt that will happen...Blair is getting pressure since he's stepping down this Spring and he wants NOT to be REMEMBERED as BUSH's POODLE.

Still...Bush can bring up that "toothpaste incident" and maybe there will be a turnabout.
