Of Truth in Advertising: Chantix vs. Candidates

Have you seen the tortoise and hare commercial for http://www.chantix.com/content/Chantix_Branded_Homepage.jsp?setShowOn=../content/Chantix_Branded_Homepage.jsp&setShowHighlightOn=../content/Chantix_Branded_Homepage.jsp">Chantix, the newest smoking cessation drug to be advertised by Big Pharma?

"The most common side effects include nausea, trouble sleeping, changes in dreaming, constipation, gas, and/or vomiting. If you have side effects that bother you or don’t go away, tell your doctor."

Why don't dream-killing candidates who produce those other effects come with a similar warning?

1. FYI

My stepfather took Chantix and successfully ended his 40 year 2 pack a day habit and the only side effect was not the "dream killing" but actually having more vivid dreams that actually were quite pleasant..So your analogy is a bit of a stretch...:)

I learned my lesson in 2004 and will not join the farce put up by the deal-makers.

As for Chantix?

After 30 years of smoking, last summer I bought a box of Nicorettes when I took off for vacation. Used 1/2 to 1/3 the recommended dosage. Haven't had a smoke since June 23.

The method doesn't matter as much as being ready to give up the crutch and breaking away from routine, IMNERHO.
