Now tell me Wolfson isn't using Rovian tactics??????
Do we really want this for 4 to 8 years....NOT I!

This is something Dumbya Bush would do!
---------------------------------------------------------------------

"Addressing more than 100 supporters at a VFW hall here Saturday, Clinton used the strongest language he has so far in the campaign to describe the threats facing the nation, making an oblique reference to the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, and saying that the "most important thing of all" in selecting a nominee is the question of who could best manage unforeseen catastrophes. And Andrea Mitchell and Joe Klein agreed with this premise!

26. I know. And it seems to break down like this:
Accept the things you cannot change
Change the things you can
And have the wisdom (& courage) to know the difference.

Warnings, from science and from direct threats, can inspire us all to take immediate action. The palpable power seems to lie within the political system. Even within our own personal limits, we can take action for ourselves and those we care for. I don't forsee anything changing either.

31. I've come to the conclusion the only way to get things done
is to act locally, the smaller the territory, the better.

Accept the things I cannot change: Federal government. They are beholden to corporations, not people.

Change the things I can: Local, very local.

Know the difference: I'm finally beginning to believe there is no hope federally. Perhaps that is learning the difference.

Beyond that, I boycott substandard imports. I don't reward or encourage people who sell poisoned pet food, or fish grown in sewage. I recycle. I walk my feet off in search of American made products, and New York State grown food.

It's a race to the bottom, and I try not to hasten it.

This is about using the ReTHUGlican 911 meme, you are posting on a forum that has critical thinkers, so save it, for people who are low-info voters.

How about responding to the fact that YOUR candidates campaign is using the 911 Ghouliani, ReTHUGlican fear meme. Then we can have a debate!

Fear that we will be at war. Fear that the war will never end. Fear that 911 made us unsafe and we need to find a way out and Clinton will keep us there forever.

They are all using fear. I guess, nuance escapes you. No wonder our country is in such trouble.

48. LOGIC ALERT: Just because Republicans use terrorism to get votes doesn't mean there's no terrorism.
Edited on Sun Dec-30-07 01:53 PM by Perry Logan
It would be a weird campaign that didn't allude to 9/11. But Clinton haters will jump at any damn thing. They're in a grumpy mood right now because they know Hillary is going to win. This brings out their most rabid behavior, I'm afraid.

Kinda weird the former President can't hint at terrorism, when he's the one guy around who spent eight years actually protecting America against terrorists. To the casual observer, he might seem qualified to talk about the matter.

Warning America about terrorism is nothing new for Bill. During his second term, he mentioned terrorism in virtually every major speech--suggesting it's not just a wicked campaign ploy by The Evil Clintons.

But of course, for Clinton-haters, BREATHING constitutes a wicked campaign ploy on the part of the Clintons, doesn't it?

Note that Bill's great sin here boils down to an alleged "oblique reference" to 9/11. Now I want you to calm down and think. Breathe slowly. Can you see that oblique references are not the technique of choice for fearmongers? No? Then let's move on...

In condemning Clinton's blood-chilling allusion to 9/11, you are surrendering the whole issue to the Republicans without a fight. And you guys say the Democrats in Congress are cowards!

As always, the anti-Clinton people compulsively attack. They repeat this behavior over and over again--like nothing so much as a bunch of wingers. By now, it's plain to everyone but themselves that they will condemn everything the Clintons say or do. Imagine if that energy could be harnessed for fighting Republicans!
