Where is the love from the Obama team?
Barack Obama is my Senator as a resident of Illinois. I live in the Southern part of the state, in a rural area.

When Obama was elected to the Senate just a tid bit over 3 years ago, we had high hopes for him. We believed that some day he had the potential to run for president--that he would be a true progressive.

However, over his term in the Senate, he funded the war--time and time again. Yes, yes, so did Hillary. Shame on their decisions to do that. I wish they hadn't. But Barack claims he was against the war from the get-go. So why did he flip flop on the important issue of national security?

Why did Barack Obama swear that it was just media hype that he was going to run for President? Why does Barack Obama not want to be our Senator anymore?

I just don't understand the vicious attacks that have come out from Obama and his campaign team, especially now that sexism has been used in the final push. I hope Barack Obama will meet up to his own standards in the final day of this campaign.

Illinois stands proud for Hillary.

1. They both suck.
Mentioning that "Hillary did too" doesn't take the power away from that. She's been consistent with her funding of the war and leaving a door open to bomb the shit outta Iran.

10. I don't have a dog in this fight
The two I'm leaning toward are Biden and Edwards.

I don't know how you think what you are doing is beneficial to your candidate in any way, shape or form whatsoever.

Bye, now.

9. Why doesn't Hillary want to be New York's Senator anymore? Why is it that not playing chicken with a
sociopath is considered high treason, while giving him the green light from the start and never saying "I was wrong" earns someone respect?

WHY IS IT THAT ANYTIME A MALE POLITICIAN FACES OFF AGAINST A FEMALE POLITICIAN, SOMEONE ALWAYS SAYS THE GUY IS BEING SEXIST????

GFY.

14. How Obama was being sexist:
He suggested that when Hillary was travelling as First Lady, all she was doing was "having tea" with foreign ambassadors. That sounds sexist to me.

The difference: Hillary served a FULL term (as promised--2000,2006); Obama does NOT want to serve a full term (even though he promised to). He's been a Senator for not even THREE YEARS.

18. he suggested, or he said?
Edited on Sun Dec-30-07 07:40 PM by NoodleBoy
And how is him saying she didn't do much when she was married to the President (if he ever did) the same thing as him saying she's not qualified because she's a woman?

And why doesn't Hillary want to serve TWO FULL TERMS? I mean, she was elected to two, why does she not want to serve two if she's running for President? And come on, Hillary hasn't been a Senator for even SEVEN YEARS! And why didn't Hillary say before 2007 she wanted to run for President in 2008? That filthy liar!

Also, you never gave a good reason why it's OK for Hillary Clinton to have voted for the Iraq war, never said it was a bad thing, and has voted for its funding for years, while Obama, who was against the war from the beginning and has said he would have voted against it, is considered a horrible person for voting for funding for the war?

29. OP means Original Post. "I post quotes" means you take what someone says,
put little dashes on either end, "like this," and then attribute it to the person who said it.

You didn't do that.

What makes me sick is the anti-(insert dem candidate here) threads.

Negative threading turns me off as much as negative campaigning/negative ads. :puke:
