3. Yes, in North Ga. too. We got about 1" in the last 2 days. The |
|
forcast is for heavy rains tonight. They're hoping that we can get another 1 1/2" by Mon. night, or 2007 will have been the dryest year since 197X. I don't remember the exact year, but it was the 70's something. It's still going to take a LOT MORE rain to recharge the lakes though.

4. Until August, Minnesota was suffering from a drought |
|
and one of the driest year. Then the deluge came, and came. And even December had had 10" more snow than the average. One had to go 25 years back to find the amount of snow that fell on Christmas day. So 2007 will end up with precipitation above average.
And our governor did not pray for rain..
Hope your luck will turn.

7. One day in Savannah, they predicted 1 inch of snow for the following day. |
|
They closed the college just on the fear of 1 inch of snow.

I'm from Pittsburgh and living in Raleigh, NC, now. I know what you mean.
We got nearly 2 inches yesterday also which we desperately needed.

5. Maybe some tropical storms will help this summer and fall. |
|
A couple from the gulf, and one or two from the Atlantic might refill those lakes and ponds.
