2. That was interesting, though.
Are they in session to prevent interim appointments?

9. I get it - he's to be emulated because he's a sterling example of
how every Dem should act. :eyes: I wish if I said this or thought it enough it would be true, but that's not how it works.

11. No. This was a good move and I've posted more than once to
that effect. But to claim he's a clueless incompetent sarcastically doesn't help his case. In some instances, he has been. Just felt the need to point that out.

16. "these tactics"
are admittedly "working the system" which is exactly what the pugs have been doing for years. OF COURSE they will cry foul. And of course their loyal idiot chorus will buy it. But that does not constitute a backfire - it is just throwing the dogs a bone to growl over.

8. The Dems in the Senate are doing 30 second Senate sessions
So the Senate is not officially out of session, and Bush cannot do any recess appointments. That is how John Bolton became our UN Rep.

19. he doesn't
If congress is in session, it becomes law if he does not veto. If congress is not in session it dies. That's a "pocket veto." That's what I read the other day he was doing with this one. Just ignoring it, rather than come out and sign a veto. But if they are in session, it becomes law without being signed. He could end up accidentally letting it through - with no "signing statements."
