This is the most imcompetent administration in history and the one to put us most at risk.
I know we have been saying this for years, but this Pakistan thing has taken it to a whole new level.

Now this is only my thoughts.

We haven't heard from the admin regarding this, why? I think it's because they do not have a plan and know how dangerous the situation is. They had thrown their lot in with Musharraf, then decided they needed Bhutto, but tried to keep Musharraf on their side as well. They did this because they knew he was losing favor with all of the players in Pakistan, terrorists and everyday people and he is going to go down.

What they didn't consider was that Musharraf was never their friend. He wants to stay in power and alive. His ISI and Army are really in control and he has been playing both sides of the fence, but more on ISI's side. He of course knows they could kill him in a moments notice. He is more fearful of them vs. the United States.

Where does that leave the US? In a shitload of trouble if you ask me. We have no options at this point, that is where the silence comes in. They don't know what to do.

The silence is deafening, sure they gave condolences and ask for an official investigation, but that's it. They are dead in the water with no options, except to possibly have China or Russia do some of the dirty work if the nukes get into the hands of terrorists, which is a real possibility. China and Russia may feel threatened and take action. But what if India takes action first?

Condoleeza Rice ought to be ashamed of her reaction, have you ever known of a Secretary of State act the way she does after a monumental moment like we witnessed last Thursday?

They don't have a plan, they don't have an answer and have made this mess themselves. This is going to take a lot of undoing somehow.

1. 2008 is going to be tedious and cautious year for all of us.

2. It will be a monumental job for the next POTUS, to put the whole middle east back together.
I don't envy anyone taking that job from Bu$h, and if something happens to Musharraf all bets are off. Bu$h has set the middle east ablaze, and he's leaving town.

I heard several different opinions from candidates about what to do in Pakistan, none of them have been heart warming.

Peace & Happy New Year!
