Why always CSPAN 3?
Now that the democratic majority is holding long needed hearings, no one sees them. I have DishNetwork and don't have CSPAN 3. Right now I'm streaming the Senate hearing on the Iraq resolution. I know CSPAN 1 & 2 are meant for the House & Senate business but can the Democratic leaders do something to get the hearings more accessible coverage. CSPAN runs them at night sometimes after the fact but you have to keep up with schedule and it is hit or miss depending on the events of the day. When and if the MSM covers them they are in 2 minute sound-bite moments.

How can we get more complete coverage of these hearings?

2. Actually, on the internet you can get audio from any hearing...
now going on from C-SPAN:
http://www.capitolhearings.org/

In addition, you can go to the website of the committee you're interested in watching and often they will have a webcast of the hearing.

Here is the Senate, main Committee page:
http://senate.gov/pagelayout/committees/d_three_sections_with_teasers/committees_home.htm

If you look under the "hearings" section on most of these there will be a webcast.

4. When Congress is session C-SPAN has to cover the House on C-SPAN 1 and the Senate on C-SPAN 2.

That's why C-SPAN exists. C-SPAN 3 is where they cover the hearings and meetings. They DO air the hearings on C-SPAN 1 in the evening or the next day, if you wish to see them.

on edit: you might contact your cable company and ask them to get C-SPAN 3 on your line-up.
