Yet another Republican arrested for being a child predator (Denver)
Edited on Wed Jan-24-07 12:19 PM by Oreo
Scott Cortelyou was arrested for trying to lure a child over the Internet
A Denver radio personality from KRCN radio 1060 AM was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of using the Internet to lure a child into a sexual relationship.

Fort Collins Police say 53-year-old Scott Eller Cortelyou, host of KRCN’s Business for Breakfast show, was arrested at the radio station in Lakewood around 9 a.m.

Cortelyou had previously worked as a news anchor and business editor for KOA and KHOW AM radio stations in Denver. His radio show, Business for Breakfast has been on the air with Cortelyou for 10 years – two and a half on the Radio Colorado Network and seven years prior to that on KOA Clear Channel.

Cortelyou also maintains the Business for Breakfast Web site.

Cortelyou allegedly approached a Fort Collins undercover detective who was posing as a 12-year-old girl in an Internet chat room and had "at least six sexually graphic conversations" with her between Aug. 8 and Jan. 15, Davis said.

He asked the "girl" not to tell her parents about the conversations, Davis said.

Affidavits in the case are sealed, but Davis said the conversations included education on sex acts and lessons on anatomy.

1. hate to split hairs....
and granted I don't know anything about his show or the station he works for, but nowhere in the article does it say he is a Republican.

Just sayin....

3. I apparently have a lot of free time on my hands...
Found this in another discussion group:
http://www.denverradio.net/newforum/viewthread.php?tid=1570

"Regarding the Zoo, though, Dave Logan does wax invariably conservative, as did Scott Hastings, when news-of-the-day topics come up.

As to the hourly news on KOA, the rightwared skew will be quite evident when the contract goes to Fox this summer, and for years local anchors John Emm and Scott Cortelyou have been openly disdainful of Democrats right in the middle of supposed straight newscasts."

7. Anyone....
that lives in CO, or southern WY would recognize KOA, and anyone who works, or did work for them as hard line conservative....(i.e. republican)after all they do host Rush, Insanitty, et al.

I don't get the 1060 channel up near Pikes Peak, but AM 760 (Jay Marvin, AAR, from Boulder) is the ONLY non-conservative station in the State.

I'd bet dollars to donuts, this perv votes (R).

Just my 2 cents

9. Colorado Media Matters shows how right-wing KOA is
http://colorado.mediamatters.org/issues_topics/outlets/koa

KOA plays Limbaugh... what else needs to be said.

8. With their record I doubt they will ever get fundie support again
Their party might as well just be dissolved. I mean how can anyone even think about a Republican anymore without thinking about all their associate child predators? Maybe they can partner with the Manbla party.

10. Holy moly! What a shock! Not. You know, sometimes I think the only reason
these pigs have been targeted and corralled is to take heat off the perv priests.
