James "Dog Beater" Dobson "I will not support McCain since he often uses foul and obscene language."
Some of the reasons why Dobson won't support McCain:

• McCain opposes a Constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage.

• McCain supports funding for "embryonic stem cell research to kill nascent human beings."

• McCain was part of the "Gang of 14" compromise, preserving the filibuster

• McCain "often uses foul and obscene language."

Dobson was quite firm on what he'll do if McCain gets the nomination: "I simply will not cast a ballot for president for the first time in my life."

5. Then Mr. Dobson should definitely not hear some of the language I use to
describe him and his ministry.

Who knew Dobson was such a sensitive thing?

17. I don't think his actions qualify him as a
Christian so I wouldn't feel to badly about it.

7. That's probably because McCain's father didn't shower with him.
Shower controversy

In his June 2002 Focus on the Family newsletter Dobson endorses advice by Dr. Nicolosi on preventing homosexuality in boys. The advice proposed that fathers take their sons into the shower with them where "the boy cannot help but notice that Dad has a penis, just like his, only bigger". <1>

10. God bless you, James Dobson! Keep up the good work!
The Republicans are divided before an election for the first time in memory. And I thank God for it. She must be pretty pissed off with this little ex-con and his party.

12. "I will not support McCain because he has a small vestigial thread of honor & integrity left."
"We've beaten it out of most of the GOP leadership, but he needs a few more rounds of humiliation & personal attacks on his family before he's sufficiently subservient."

16. Such selective memories, have our friends the republicans.
Don't remember Bush and Cheney discussing the NYT reporter as " a real a##hole", nor Cheney's telling a Senator on the Senate floor to "go f##k yourself".

Oh year, that McCain and his potty mouth is a real piece of work.

21. I have mixed feelings about this
Edited on Tue Feb-05-08 03:05 PM by Momgonepostal
On the one hand I think, "Good, the more republicans who pout and stay home on election day, the better."

At the same time, I think it's lame that he wouldn't choose Romney as an alternative. Romney, who is probably much the same kind of republican Dobson is, including having been a member of the clergy, but just doesn't belong to the right church. :eyes:

Added on edit: I just read this again, and see he's talking about the general election. We have our primary today, so I've got primaries on the brain. So good, Dobson, stay home.

God forbid Dobson and his brand of crazy religious fundamentalist fuckwits ever get control of our government. :eyes:
