1. I'd prefer to ask why do we have a state department?
It has been a waste of tax payers money for the past 7 years because bush has no concept of diplomacy and face to face talks with other humanb beings. They'd rather get our kids killed because they are liars. And condi rice is damn near as worthless as bush, if that is possible.

4. It amazes me that there are no talks going on between the warring factions
No talks going on between our (cough) allies?
NO ONE IS TALKING. IT'S WAR, WAR, WAR.

AND MORE WAR.

8. It does appear that way.
There was never any concern about people or any moral judgment involved. They are happy creating more terrorism and hatred toward America in the ME so that they can make more money building weapons.

At the same time, even if the administration did want diplomacy, it wouldn't matter because normal people cringe just at the thought of being in the same room with them.

9. And as we know, Peace can only be made via negotiations.....
that's how it has always been done. So I don't get stalling diplomacy which is, in the end.... inevitable.

when the world ends in 2012, per the Mayan long calander.

17. The republicons can't spell diplomacy, can't say diplomacy,
and they sure as hell don't know what it means.

Yes, it puts all of the rest of us in a very dangerous place.

18. "Shock and Awe"....
that WAS Bush's stab at diplomacy. Killing people is all he knows. Talking to them? Bush is a man of action, not words. I think that's painfully obvious. Unfortunately his actions are most often worse than his words.
Diplomacy is for babies. :sarcasm:
