Please look at my book

which is a tribute to my mother’s work with her tribe. It was during the Martin Luther King era when O.I.O was fighting for the rights of our people. These battles won opened up a new beginning for tribes all over the U.S. I think you will find the day to day progress and problems Mother encountered interesting and enlightening. Velma Pensoneau Jones was ahead of her time in bringing peaceful, legal and creative ways to deal with racial problems, but of course she had her directions from higher places in the U.S. government

Oklahomans for Indian Opportunity? So did my mom. This was back in the 70's and 80's. Wouldn't it be a hoot if our moms knew each other?

Congratulations on the book. I've got it bookmarked for future reading. I'm reading a book by a relative of mine about our family (dad's side) that's on line. It traces dad's family back to a small town outside of London. It was originally published in the 1880's.
