4. Wow! He did move up fast. That's one smart but impatient guy.
I thought both hour docs on Obama and Hillary were good. They didn't seem to pull any bunches, but they didn't overly glorify either one of them either. Hillary looked like the nerd she is. And I say that lovingly. :) They did point out that Obama learned at a young age that he could sway people with his looks and oratory skills. I've come around to believing that if you have that "something" that is so special, you better get out there and use it as soon as the opening is there. He lost once or twice, regrouped and now he will most likely be the President of the United States with a whopping 3 years in the Illinois legislature with some great bits of luck getting in there and then about a year and half as a U.S. Senator before he put his eyes and efforts into the Presidency. Not bad!

Obama is an amazingly smooth character. I'll still feel bad for Hillary because, if you can forget Bill just for a moment, I know..impossible..she IS prepared for the top job.

It's all Obama's now. I actually feel bad for her having to go through these debates. I know the delegate count is not that different between the two right now, but March 4th should do it. Not put anyone at 2025, but clear up for real who the winner obviously is.

I'm trying! GO OBAMA!!

6. Dang, I am having a real problem with words lately. PUNCHES
the shows didn't pull any punches. I do use spell check and I always proof read, but this is getting crazy. Age and losing your mind are an ugly thing. It was past my edit time, so I posted this nonsense. Just in case I'm not on everyone's ignore. ;)

5. A few things struck me
1. If you haven't lived in Hawaii, it is harder to understand his experience. Here was a black kid with a white mom being raised in a place with no black culture. Hawaii just doesn't have any black cultural presence. The hierarchy of racism is Asian, and there are many obscure ethnicities, which he would have just been one of. He couldn't have the black American experience until he got to the mainland. So, in Hawaii, he felt compelled to live up to something that he and no one around had any idea what it was. That is why his journey was a search for identity.

2.He seems like most of his wins came from being in the right place at the right time. Seems his opposition destroys itself and he's the only one left to choose from.

7. So he's not black enough and he didn't work for anything he has gotten.
I thought we put that meme to bed a few months ago? I think the last 10 primaries say so.

8. You see what you want to see
I said "his journey was a search for identity", which is the theme of his book. You CHOSE to turn that into - "he's not black enough"...

Also, saying "he is in the right place at the right time" does not equate to you translation "he didn't work for anything he has gotten"...

Can you explain why your perceptions of my support for Obama are so negative? Why the spin?
