Rosie O'Donnell said the IMPEACH word on the View this morning

After discussing the STOTU. She challenged the Barbara Walters to keep talking about it-practically glaring her down when the Barbara wanted to change the subject. She said the one rep should be on record as opposing the Bush just to have for the history books if nothing else to show this was a Democracy and this was when it was dying!

But Ms. ABC got her jab in saying that after hearing Webb's response, "the Democrats have no plan on Iraq." SO.. Rosie scores for me a first time on daytime TV that the Impeach word has been said. Ms. Joy Behar also mused, if the people and the congress and the senate are all against this surge but the president isn't, is this a Democracy? Also the word DICTATOR was used. I guess the DU isn't that much out of the mainstream. It was on TEEEVEE!

Now THAT is significant. If she'd been boo'ed or the reaction had been lukewarm, that would be one thing. They cheered? GOOD! You're quite correct (and so is Rosie). The opposition to this blood-thirsty regime MUST be allowed to be heard, so the rest of the world knows we are NOT in favor of this and it's being done against our will. That the last five years have been like being held hostage for most of America. By a band of rogue hijackers for greed and deceit. And blood.

It's like the audience at "The Daily Show." They're ravenous. They don't just applaud for this stuff, they frickin' explode! But then again, you KNOW this audience, its agenda and political leanings, and it's not surprising. But for the audience at "The View" to CHEER this - that's a lot more Middle America. If THEY'RE into it, that should tell us all we need to know at this point.

...Bill Maher territory. The cancellation of Politically Incorrect after what he said about America dropping bombs on people as being more cowardly than what the terrorists did on 9/11. It was something like that...correct me if I have it wrong, but... Anyway...not saying The View is going anywhere, obviously. But Rosie might be too much a threat to the ABC/Disney republican friendly philosophy. Remember The Path to 9/11 was on ABC. Rosie's impact on the ratings at the View are undeniable, but at what point does that become a non factor?

36. Update: today she asked Lou Dobbs

if we should impeach the president. He mentioned the economic horrors and the horrible war and and waffled and didn't have the guts to say yes. He started out our reps should..then Rosie cut in and said,"just say yes or no, Lou." But you could tell he was thinking it. Rosie said she was disapointed in him. And MAN, were they cutting to commercial fast as they could on that one. He almost said it. But as we know almost is worthless.

I saw it too and I was stoked! :woohoo: I didn't like that Barbara tried to clamp down the discussion either. Rosie was damn straight when she said "What ELSE is there to talk about?!!!"

I also tend to think that the very reason Rosie came back to T.V. was so that she could say stuff like this which needs to be said to a mainstream audience who are clueless because they listen to the corporate media like CBS or MSNBC or CNN and think they're telling us all the truth when all they do is lie their asses off in order to keep the status quo and rake in lots of dough. :grr:
