Great book - "The Kite Runner"

Just finished reading "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini and it's really a great book. It's an emotional roller coaster ride of the author's life growing up in Afghanistan, his move with his father to the U.S. and his subsequent return to Afghanistan to visit a friend of his father's.

2. I'm reading it aloud to my wife. Great book.

We're just finishing it up. Another great Asian writer is Rohinton Mistry. His writing is just as good, if not better, than Khaled Hosseini's. IMO better but not by much.

A Fine Balance (1996)
and Family Matters (2002)
