Back in 2004, you made a campaign stop in Las Vegas. I waited in the heat for 2 hours to see
you at UNLV. I brought my kids with me. We were lucky enough to get positions down in the
mosh pit right in front of the stage from which you spoke.

At the end of the rally, we moved forward, and my daughter and I had the distinct honor of
shaking your hand. I told my daughter, "you've just shaken the hand of our future president."

Now, it looks like I'm a big liar...expect that you would have won in 04 if the Ohio election had been legal
and the votes had been counted.

Still, I agree with your not running in 08.

2008 might just not be the right time. Too many senators are running and somebody needs to keep up the fight to end the war in the Senate.

3. You know, a concerned Republican told me the same thing last week.

Part of it's my fault for being such a gloaty little asswipe about Congress and the Constitution now belonging to the people again. But he did, in fact, say "Not knowing the weapons weren't there wasn't a lie."

He's against the surge now, but I still don't think he quite gets it.
