when you're being fed an unending list of bullshit. I think I was doing at least 20 or so myself during chimpy's little liefest last night myself.

7. Scandalous! The woman is excited to be serving in elective office! Clearly she's, um, something bad.
Is she even remotely accused of having something to hide?

Watch a taped segment and count the gasping.

14. It could be something she has an allergy to something that was in the air..
I noticed that she doesn't always blink, so perhaps someone's aftershave or other irritant was in the room's air. I have had to leave places where the perfume someone was wearing triggered an allergic reaction in me that could trigger my asthma.

23. That's entirely possible
Some colognes, perfumes, etc. really irritate my eyes. I don't know if Ms. Pelosi wears contacts, but when I do, the reaction to airborne irritants is usually worse.

19. The normal blink rate is roughly 20 blinks per minute so this isn't even odd
"Eye-blinking is another well-known primate movement. The moment you have the least little bit of stress, the eyelids blink, bang! bang! bang!" (Niko Tinbergen, in a 1974 Psychology Today interview)

U.S. Politics. In the 1996 presidential debates, candidate Bob Dole averaged 147 blinks--seven times above normal. President Bill Clinton averaged 99 blinks a minute, reaching 117 when asked about increases in teen drug use, a sensitive issue of the day (Tecce 1996).

Funny, I don't recall Drudge caring about Bob Dole's manic blinkers. :eyes:

21. She had to navigate a freaking minefield
What with the camera on her as much as it was on Bush. She looked like she was concentrating VERY hard. Some statements almost seemed designed to put her and the Democrats on the spot. Like when Bush said "And I ask you to support our troops in the field -- and those on their way." How could she NOT applaud for the 'support our troops' part yet if she did she had to appear to applaud for the 'and those on their way' part.

and if so lights, heat or air conditioning can dry contacts out.

I also think that she blinked more when * lied, or when she disagreed with what * said.

contacts right in public. I believe I would have.

I know the stupidity that was spewing forth last night made me and Mr. kt laugh to keep from crying.
