Poll question: Do you expect your life to be better or worse five years from now?
With all the economic news and what not, just curious.

Things are falling in to place so that I'll be able to save more money. So I think I'm doing alright.

2. Mine? Probably about the same. America's in general? A bit better.
basing that last on the assumption that the Democratic party gets its shit together for once and wins the WH when it should be a gimme.

The next pres is in for a tough time we all know that but five years is an unlikely length for any feasible recession and we can assume Iraq spending will decrease and a more sane fiscal and monetary policy - even incrementally - will be in place.

I'm at that neither here nor ther level in my career where I'm probably as high as I'm getting and future increases will be cost of living range. I'm not interested in chasing the corner office or even the one next to it and content where I am financially so that's fine by me, so again for me personally pretty null.

8. I'll have a bigger garden, a smaller dog, an older child, a dead parent.
I will still be dancing, hopefully my toe corn will be gone by then, hopefully earning money doing what I enjoy providing healthcare as I do now, perhaps will have window weather stripping done by then. Hard to say if it will be better or not.

4. Much better, because I'll be RETIRED. I'll have less money, but

7. "Much Worse" And this has nothing to do with politics.
We are burning through natural resources, including food, potable water and sources of fuel. Within five years the effects of this will begin to be obvious enough that nations will be locked in battle over basic necessities.

No man or woman is going to be able to stop this, unless there is some sort of massive, world-wide, miraculous Enlightenment or ascension of consciousness.
