3. He and Glenn were actually cleared of wronging in the Keating 5 scandal.
The concensus on the ethics committee was that McC and Glenn should be cut loose. Sen. Heflin (D-Ala.) refused to clear McC because he was the only R. among the 5 and he didn't want it to be a D. scandal. Because of that, the R.s on the panel would not agree to clear Glenn. They both got some kind of wishy-washy reprimand about appearances and poor judgment. Anyway, that's what Glenn says in his autobiography.

2. How about the way he covered up his wife's drug abuse and embezzlement?
And went after the guy who blew the whistle on her.

4. He uses a colorful term to describe his opponents in Vietnam...
...in order to explain how much he hates them. We should underscore his temper generally and ask if the country wants a hot head to have his finger on the "button."

12. Let that one go
Yeah, he called the Vietcong "gooks", but no one is going to really drive that one in, considering what the Vietcong did to him.

5. Anybody from Michigan that is still voting GOP after the last ...
7 years is a hopeless case. In fact any American that isn't convinced by now the GOP is unfit to lead this country is not likely to change their mind no matter how many facts you expose them to.

9. Heck if you lived here you'd wonder what the hell these people are smoking.
To them all of michigans woes are from 4 things, unions, dem's, taxes and welfare. It's insane how so many are blind to reality. These morons believe the pull yourself up by your boot straps BS. Yet when asked why that businesses were getting tax dollars to bail them out of the mess business greed caused, the excuse is, without business theres no jobs. When you tell them that these businesses were taking tax dollars to off shore jobs, thats the unions fault for being greedy and union workers being paid to much money. When you mention CEO's being paid multi million dollar bonuses while business is being run into the ground, you get the CEO works hard excuse. I'm about going nuts with all the talking points they use.

I finally gave up and moved to Florida back in 1988. I may starve but at least I won't freeze.

8. Look at his marital history - another repuke hypocrite. He came home from Nam,
found his wife had had an auto accident, took up with many other women before settling on Cindy "I want him to be in politics" Hensley, dumped his wife, and jumped into Congress using her money.

A moral man- I don't think so.

The R.s did it to Kerry. I'll cite the mostly fictional book Unfit for Command as "exhibit A."
