Discussing Iraq:

PRESIDENT BUSH: John, any government that presumes to represent the majority of people must confront criminal elements or people who think they can live outside the law.

Discussing Cuba and the stepdown of Fidel:

"Eventually this transition ought to lead to free and fair elections. And I mean free. And I mean fair. Not these kind of staged elections that the Castro brothers try to foist of as being true democracy," he said.

Discussing Musharraf:

Bush: You can't be the president and the head of the military at the same time

Perino:

Dana Perino, the white house spokesperson wrt constitutional abuses by Musharraf:

Q: But what he says what he's doing is against the terrorists, that is necessary to preserve stability there against terrorist organizations?

MS. PERINO: We do not believe that any extra-constitutional means were necessary in order to help prevent terrorism in the region. And that's why we are deeply disappointed with the actions, and we asked them to not do it.

Q: Is it ever reasonable to restrict constitutional freedoms in the name of fighting terrorism?

MS. PERINO: In our opinion, no.

He's so clueless that I can't help but laugh

5. I know
You mean to tell me when he tells Musarraf that 'the president shouldn't also be the leader of the military' or that 'Cuba needs free and fair elections, not sham elections', that nobody cracks a smile at any of that?

Yeah the guy should be in prison, but its still pretty funny how out of touch with reality he is.

6. Sometimes I wonder if he is really that stupid & out of touch, or
if it's an act & he's laughing at us all for accepting his act, so he ratchets it up another notch just to see how gullible WE are.

(I know....that sounds a tad paranoid, doesn't it?) :tinfoilhat:

8. I doubt it myself
It is possible he is pulling a Reagan and faking like he is really this dumb, but based on his past history (being an alcoholic failure until he was about 40) I tend to think he really is just an overprivlegded frat boy who is way over his head.

9. Yea, probably more likely.
He is a total loser, that's what makes his "winning" the elections even more hard to take. Daddy's $, power & friends....Either way, he's screwed our country up royally! Damn it!
