This is not just because the block function went away, but mostly due to how you all handled it. This is currently the ONLY board I post on and it's due in large part to the way it's administered.

Thank you all for doing such a great job and for building such a wonderful community for us all.

(And yes, I would have posted this even if y'all decided to keep the blocks)

Personal attacks and bad grammar are heavy on every other board I have been on. DU does a good job of dealing with it. That's a major reason why the block function was unnecessary.

That was quick! I'm glad the feature went away. I think the ignore feature is good enough. The block feature was probably a moderator nightmare.

14. DU is successful because of what it is.

I believe that most people trust the mods. I sure do. There was resistance because it wasn't really unnecessary. The mods do a good job. The addition of the greatest page went a long way towards Skinners goals as well.

I still think they should consider the Something Awful idea with temporary bans and a "Lepers Colony." That's a nice compromise.
