I need a favor:

could someone log into www.thinkprogress.org and let me know what happens? My 'puter is defaulting to a site called americanprogress.org Does that happen to anyone else, and can anyone tell me why that might be happening?

americanprogress. I even typed the addy in, and got americanprogress.

19. Have you restarted your computer?

I think that would flush your DNS cache.

I'm thinking the IP address for the site may have changed. Your computer may have stored the old IP address, and may be looking for thinkprogress there. If your DNS cache gets flushed, your computer will consult a DNS server (the "directory information" servers of the internet) to learn the current IP address of thinkprogress.

(Assuming you use a Windows computer)

Click "Start".
Click "Run"
Type "command" (without the quotation marks). Click "OK"
In the resulting window, type the following command at the command prompt:

ipconfig /flushdns

Then press the "Enter" key

See if you can browse to thinkprogress after performing this operation
