1. Does it allow you to sign more than once under a different name?
Some do and some don't.

8. Probably if you have different email addresses, but there are over 2,000 Draft Gore
groups that are getting 'hard signatures' on petitions, so this 50,000 is only the tip of the iceburg. Have you signed on yet?
:)

9.  No, and I have no intention of doing so
Edited on Thu Mar-01-07 12:51 PM by RestoreGore
Mr. Gore knows what he wants to do. Harassing him is not how I wish to spend my days. I prefer to actually be doing something about the climate crisis now as he has asked us to and as we must do. It also failed once already as drafts do not happen in this military industrial complex system, so I don't place much credence in them. They are a dime a dozen these days, and imo just excuses for people to stroke their own egos.

10. Seems to me a lot of time and effort goes in to discouraging others to NOT support him running
Just an observation. Of course, how you 'spend your days' is your business.

13. I have argued with you before in the past but
If Gore wins he will be a President working with a solid Dem House and near filibuster proof Dem Senate.

What could possibly be more effective than that to combat Global Warming?

20. IF...
That's where you lose your argument. And once again, NOTHING can get done if the populace of this country is still uninformed about this crisis and is not moved on a moral level to change their lifestyles or to even give a damn about any piece of paper coming out of Washington DC. And If Democrats were so gung ho on this issue there sure should have been more than ONE who backed Mr. Gore up on the Kyotot Treaty when he WAS a Vp and had the power then, but there wasn't. I don't have faith in any member of Congress to do anything just because of the letter in front of their names. This is NOT a partisan political issue and we need members of Congress across political lines to understand the urgency of this. So your IF is a big IF and at this point in time regarding this crisis it just isn't enough.

3. Does everyone realize that we are 20 months out from the election
and Al could easily take this with a comfortable majority?

My only question is when will he announce that he will allow himself to be drafted into the service of this country? I know that Al is not the second coming of the Messiah (or first, my Jewish friends), but I think that he might be looked at 50 years in the future as the one man who steered us back from the abyss. I hope that he wins the Nobel F'ing Peace Prize and then enters the Presidential race. Our name as a country is not worth shit to the rest of the world, but if we install Gore, maybe the rest of the world will see that we are sorry for the last 6+ years of corpo-fascism.

15. I will sign it if ...
I'd like to hear Al Gore (or any of the other candidates) tell us the truth about Iraq like Mike Gravel does.

Al told us the truth about the invironment. Now how about Iraq?

16. Al Gore warned against a war with Iraq

He was outspoken about it.

17. So, where is the truth?
He warned against it. But what is his explanation for us attacking Iraq?

Mike Gravel says it was oil! Not terrorism.
