France: Mitt Romney’s bogeyman

Republican Mitt Romney is preparing his campaign for the 2008 presidential election. So he is looking to correct some negative perceptions he thinks the public may have of him.

Among them, being phony, and his hair looks too perfect.

Hum! Gotta do something about that! But what?

Bogeymen!

France is at the top if the list. “Hillary = France,” he says, even envisioning “First, not France” bumper stickers.

Xenophobia, apparently, is on the positive side of his ledger.

Europeans want to “drag America down to Europe’s standards,” says Romney.

1. Um, Mittens, it's not 2003 anymore...

Even Freedom Fries aren't in style now...And frankly, I'd love to be dragged down to Europe's standards. They've got it a hell of a lot better than we have, in many instances...Good to see Willard Romney is on such a losing course though. I loathe my former governor...

3. I loathe him as well
I'm so glad we have entered the post-Mittens era.

BTW, why is nobody publicizing the $1+ billion deficit he left Massachusetts with? After 16 straight years of rethug governors, there's no way they can pin this on the Dems.

2. Drag down to American standards!!!!
Good God, their standards are so above ours, way above. Only idiots would say this. There is not one repub fit to run for president who's saying he wants to run. Damn it, where are the good republicans out there.
