I have to say that actually agree with McCain that American lives are being wasted in Iraq. They're certainly not dying for any great, noble purpose. Iraq is far worse than it was before we went in. This whole war has been fought to satisfy Junior's desire for revenge, to finish what his pappy didn't. There was no legitimate reason to go into Iraq. Therefore, in that sense, American lives ARE being wasted.

What makes this so despicable coming from McCain is that he actually wants to waste MORE American lives! He votes to authorize the war, then says we're doing a shitty job, but then decides that sending even more troops sounds like a good idea. When he starts getting lots of flap for his "wasted lives" remark, he backs down like a whimpering cur dog.

2. He should oppose using the blood of American soldiers as the new Bait
in Cheney's new Bait and Switch

Have you read this yet? http://www.newyorker.com/printables/fact/070305fa_fact_hersh

RE: General Pace's testimony before the Senate Appropriations committee yesterday - Pace is saying one third of the total military force in Iraq will not be fully manned, fully trained, nor equipped. Why would Pace refuse to let the Senate/Murtha to do something about that, unless it is Cheney's will?

Pace also said before the Senate Appropriations Committee that a weak Iraqi government (Shia) results in stronger militias (Sunni). The "Redirection" documented by Seymour Hersh (linked above) describes a process that is weakening Shia in the region and strengthening Sunnis.

So, as the Sunni Iraqi militias get stronger they have to decide whether to kill more Americans or more Shia. Doesn't the fact that the Administration is resisting Murtha's plan, and thus leaving those forces weak in that situation, suggest that this is supposed to push the Sunni Iraqi militias in the direction of attacking the Shia instead?

It's the old "Bait and Switch" routine again. Only this time it is American Blood being waved under the noses of the Sunnis in the region to get them into what's going on, and then through the use of special Sunni operative$$$$$$$$, their efforts are turned on the Shia instead.

we will prop up some other dictator like Saddam or Noreiga or the Shah and we'll be right back where we started

only poorer

with thousands of soldiers killed

with tens (or hundreds) of thousands of Iraqis killed

with hardly an ally in the world

4. McCain is also a Bush lover. People might not know that.
There are several photos of McCain and Bush embracing, and hugging, it looks like they are practically making out.

I wish I had those photos to post here. Somebody should start a thread filled with near-make-out photos of Bush & McCain.

Those images are stomach churning!
In my opinion, we can't let any potential McCain sympathizers, be they lurkers or newbies, escape seeing his creepy physical expressions of kinship with Bush.

I guess I need to learn how to post photos.

8. "Male Bonding" . . . Why does it depend so much on Violence on some level?
Edited on Fri Mar-02-07 01:53 PM by patrice
On edit: On second thought, it's the Money/Power, because that's not real Bonding, nor is it really Male.
