Now KGO's reporting a meteor or a plane crash or SOMEthing falling
in the vicinity of the earthquake.

Suddenly, this feels like Halloween, 1938.

18. Bernie doesn't like to have call after call of people saying what they felt
I have to agree with him. It gets tedious even after a 6 earthquake, it's maddening after a 4.2!

26. What's unusual about eclipse
is that it will be seen in some phase from at least part of every continent.
The eastern US will see the moon eclipsed as it rises.

13. I just tuned in to Coast To Coast (Art Bell's old show) on the chance they were discussing this
Edited on Fri Mar-02-07 01:15 AM by aint_no_life_nowhere
Sure enough, they are. There's a guy on saying that he monitored animal disappearances through ads in the newspapers and noted more and more missing dogs every day right up to today. And they just reported the meteor story. The guest said he thought it might be some kind of electrical discharge that accompanies quakes.

Edit: Next, they're going to have a debate on global warming and George Noury says he also hopes he can reach Al Gore by phone and get him on.

19. While that's probably true, it is a show that has a large audience
and Gore is trying to reach as many people as he can with his message about global warming. I could see him shunning the show if he was running for office and wanted to avoid appearing on shows that sometimes are known for their crackpot guests. But if he isn't running, then I think he would take advantage of every forum he can.

Fireball sighted over county

An unexplained flaming object apparently whizzed over San Diego County about 8:30 p.m., prompting law officers to search for a possibly downed plane.

Witnesses, including some California Highway Patrol officers, reported seeing a fireball racing across the sky. Reports came in within minutes of each other from Santee, Clairemont, Ramona and Fallbrook.

A CHP sergeant working out of the San Clemente office radioed that a shooting star had headed west into the Pacific Ocean. The Federal Aviation Administration reported no planes lost, CHP and sheriff's sources said.
