(Halliburton)Military contractor charged with assault for alleged stabbing
PHOENIX (AP) -- A military contractor has been indicted on assault charges for allegedly stabbing a woman while working in Iraq.

The indictment returned by a federal grand jury says 30-year-old Aaron Langston of Snowflake is accused of attacking the woman with a knife on February 15th at Al Asad Airbase.

The U.S. Attorney's Office in Phoenix says Langston was working as a military contractor for a subsidiary of Halliburton Company.

Langston allegedly stabbed the woman in the throat.

A judge ordered that Langston be returned to Arizona to face assault charges.

2. Heheh!
He was heading up a cross-cultural mission and was attempting to explain a particularly western slang phrase, "pain-in-the-neck!"

3. How does the Iraqi woman testify
on the other side of the world? By video teleconferencing in Arabic?

If this happened in most other countries, the US civilian would be tried in the country in which the alledged incident occurred. Iraq will only exist as a US client-state/puppet government as long as the US military is there to protect the Iraqi leaders which it decided to put in charge.
