Dean Blasts Coulter’s Slur
Dean Blasts Coulter’s Slur
Posted by Tracy Russo on March 2, 2007 at 06:43 PM

Dean:

"There is no place in political discourse for this kind of hate-filled and bigoted comments. While Democrats and Republicans may disagree on the issues, we should all be able to agree that this kind of vile rhetoric is out of bounds. The American people want a serious, thoughtful debate of the issues. Republicans -- including the Republican presidential candidates who shared the podium with Ann Coulter today -- should denounce her hateful remarks."

11. Excellent statement, and here's why
It's not enough to just condemn this hatefulness; it's a necessary component to demand, as Dean did, that the candidates who shared the podium with Little Arfin' Annie should denounce her hateful remarks.

10 out of 10 for Dr. Dean. Let's see if the bulldogs of the media are as vigilant against the Republican candidates as they are against the Democratic ones.

17. Absolutely, gratuitous.
While she would appear to be a free agent, she is in reality a spokesperson for the republican Party. And every public discussion of her henceforth by a Dem should treat her as such.

Thus the media side-show known as Ann Coulter can be made 100% relevant to politicians and their views. Enough of Coulter flying under the radar as an "easily" dismissed separate entity from the Republican Party.

Edited on Sat Mar-03-07 12:25 AM by shance
Or atleast attempting to?

Who is rewarding her for such behavior? It must be the media executives who have hired her.

This is merely one of a treasure chest of deluded, prejudicial, elitist comments from a chronic, pathological hater of mankind in general.

Why do they give her so much free time to air her hatred and viciousness in the name of "politics"?

They censor everyone else with a vengence, and yet they welcome and promote Ann Coulter and her racism, bigotry, misogyny and overall disgust of humanity and anything remotely good and decent.

Its not politics, it is verbal manslaughter.

Ann Coulter has such a sadistic, pain inflicting core.

It is bizarre and seemingly almost a genetic part of her. She gets pleasure out of inflicting pain and promoting hatred.

How sick can someone be to enjoy others pain and scapegoating?

It is about making the person who she supports have to renounce her and defned himself as to why he would accept the support of such a hateful person and does he actually harbor the same sentements as the Vile Coultergist? do you Mitt Romney support the use of the word Faggot in the political discourse and will renounce the support that you seemed so willing to accept from this lobvilusly deranged person? Those are the questions that need ot be flying fast and furious at Mitt for the next few days and weeks if necessary until he repudiates what she said and calls on her to appologise to Edwards.

The fundraising thing someone started is ok.

But making every Republican politician who does not speak out against her a supporter of her statements by default is a good start.

No more of the "She's not worth paying attention to" from Repubs. She speaks for them, and they know it.

I like that Dean is beginning to call that fact out into the light.

53. Why does Coulter think this is funny, anyway?
Clearly, she's a comedian, not even a pundette. I could see making a joke about Clinton and his famous penis, for example. But calling John Edwards a f*ggot? WTF?

Not only is it homophobic, it's foul language! Why does this little c*nt get off on talking like that in public?

It's not even remotely true! What is she going on, his hair? His good looks? The fact that he's still married to his first wife? Apparently real men leave their wives when they have cancer and start up with skanks like Coulter, I don't know.

Anyway, if she's a woman, she's not a little c*nt. I apologize for that. She's a big, floppy, bucketlike c*nt.

54. LTTE: The politics of Bigotry
I submitted the following LTTE to the three newspapers in my local area. By all means feel free to use a variation of this Letter To The Editor, to send off your own, to your local papers.

''All of the GOP's 2008 presidential hopefuls, with the exception of Senator John McCain, recently appeared at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, last week.

Not one of those candidates has yet spoke out against guest speaker Ann Coulter's pejorative and slanderous reference to Democratic candidate John Edwards, as a ''faggot.''

Coulter's horrible comments were receieved by those attending the Conservative Conference with laughter, and cheers.

If the GOP candidates expect to hear anything other than laughter on election day, then they must distance themselves from the politics of smear, and scandal, and denounce Ms. Coulter's commentary as un-true, and mean-spirited, and un-worthy of an event at which a future President would ever attend, and speak.''
