VIDEO: Marine with Brain Injury refused treatment by VA
Truthdig at Alternet writes:

"ABC News' Bob Woodruff, who narrowly escaped death while reporting from the Iraq war, visits with a young Marine who also sustained a major brain injury. Although rehabilitation is vital to the Marine's recovery, the VA has refused treatment for half of the critical first year."

1. NOM! Outrageous. Did they ever say why exactly the VA has refused treatment
since December? That is so totally unacceptable, regardless of their excuse. That poor young man, to have to have gone through that... And he drove the truck out of further danger, despite all his injuries? :wow:

2. It really is outrageous!
If you are like me and think that things must happen for a reason...I am starting to think that Bob Woodruff had to go through his trauma so that he could expose what has happened to these brave souls.

4. We've had our suspicions about the general poor treatment of returning vets
There's a definite pattern emerging now of just that, and it's shameful.

6. I know
One of the first stories I heard was about a wounded soldier living in his car. That was a couple of years ago. I had no illusions that he was the only one.

I simply meant that this is beginning to show as a pattern, not the exception, and it seems that the public humiliation of having their callousness paraded on the corporate media is one of the only things that forces the bastards in charge to stop yapping about supporting the troops and actually do it.
