Do you believe Hersh when he says Shrub & Cheney really believe
Hesbola has cells in the US and intends to detonate a nuke here if they don't fight them in the ME?

I just listened to him on Bill Maher's Real Time show.

He actually said THEY BELIEVE THAT and that they're doing what they believe they have to do to protect the US!

4. If they have cells here
And a nuke here, and they intend to detonate here,
why do we have to fight them there? Its already too late.
And how does rousting some Iraqi grandmother in the wee hours keep the nukes away?
The only nuke likely to detonate here is a false flag job, courtesy of you friendly neighborhood Republicon.

If the AntiChrist twins believe there are suitcase nukes or something here, then won't killing a half million of them over there finally piss them off and make them detonate their nukes over here.

But I think that they believe that they can convince anyone of anything if they just repeat it often enough.

I also believe that the US is heading down the road to overt fascism; the covert stuff has been in place a long time.

are things that are supposed to be secret(like the special ops already in Iran). And even on those he is usually proven right eventually. I have no reason to doubt him. Especially when it comes to the paranoid rantings of the psycho twins...

Date-certain pronouncements.

Made us all look silly, except for DUers with cable-TV fueled ADD and a "shiny object" mentality who have trained themselves to switch from issue to issue until the stopped clock of predictions of war with Iran finally hits the jackpot,

by which time it'll be obvious to everyone which direction we are headed in wrt Iran. It is NOT obvious now and Hersh's prognostications have made it less and less so.

13. I don't trust Hersh, he's been a CIA mouthpiece for years
Look at how he carried the CIA's water when he wrote the book smearing President Kennedy.

I think all anyone needs to know about Hersh is in this (long, two part) article:

47. I understand you weren't putting words in my mouth, thanks babylonsister
I do wonder about your criteria for credibility however.
You seem to put a lot of trust in who the mainstream corporate media decides to sanction and promote.

Do you recall the "reporting" in the mainstream media when President Gore was merely trying to get the votes counted to prove his win? They trashed him at almost every opportunity and propped up the corporate poster boy Bush. That's just one example. They are generally not on the side of truth, justice, and the American people.

Therefore the very fact that Hersh is so welcome on the media circuit when he has a story to promote is a red flag, to me.

I'm not saying he has never exposed important stories. The torture in the Iraq prison was a huge and important story he broke, and I strongly believe he was horrified by it (I saw him give a speech about it at the ACLU convention and he almost broke into tears). I am saying that the reason he gets so many inside/CIA/military stories is because he has long served them. I wouldn't be surprised if his complicity with them was something that he is now trying to make up for. That last part is pure conjecture by me.

I'm also saying 'once a liar always a suspect.' His "Dark Side of Camelot" book was a huge steaming pile of lies. So there's some good reporting/writing mixed with bad/slanted. Which means he's not credible to me.

Again, when the corporate media chooses to embrace someone that does not equate to credibility IMO.

19. Things that make you go hmmmm....
Setting aside Hersh's credibility for a second----

I'm aghast that the moron twins believe this.

If they do believe this, then how do they know this. Is it the "chatter"? :eyes:

So, supposedly, the moron twins are CERTAIN that Hezbolla has numerous cells and nukes
that are inside this country? If this is true, that begs many questions.

Let's say that they gleaned this intelligence from surveillance or from concrete sources.
Wouldn't the moron twins have additional information, about this highly important
information. Like, where these cells are located?

I'd really like to better understand how Hersch knows this to be true.

If the moron twins actually have this information, doesn't America deserve to
know this? I mean, they raised the "terror level" before--based on unsubstantiated
rumors. If the moron twins are certain of this awful reality...shouldn't
they be telling us? Warning us? Reminding us to be vigilant?

I don't doubt that this is true. I respect Hersch. However, this country
should be in an uproar about what this comment means to the citizens of
the United States.

40. He just now said it on Bill Maher's Real Time show
There's probably not a transcript yet. I heard him say it too. And get this: He said that Junior believes that 20 years down the road he will be favorably judged as a "visionary president". You know, that fits with statements he keeps making about history judging him. I'm sure part of that is attempting to fend off accountability but I believe he really does believe this.

I believe what Hersh says. I've asked Jay Rockefeller to invite him to testify before the Senate Intelligence committee.

B* and Cheney are Christians? No. Believe in freedom? No. Believe in democracy? No. Have any of their actions supported their spoken words on these ideals? No. Why would I believe their nonsense about drumming up yet more hatred in the ME by fomenting fear of potential terrorism. They aren't concerned about protecting us. Look at how they protect the troops. They care about themselves and Hellibuton. That is all. The rest is show and pretense.
