Bangkok- With Thailand set to witness both a lunar and
solar eclipse this month, some astrologers are warning the dual
phenomena foreshadow more political chaos on the horizon for the
kingdom, media reports said Saturday.
According to the Thai Astronomical Society, a total lunar eclipse
will be visible in Thailand on Sunday at 4:30 am, while a partial
solar eclipse is scheduled on March 19 at 7 am.
What is good news for astronomers is bad news for the country's
political scene, according to at least one leading soothsayer.
Boonlert Pairin, a former senator and well known astrologer, said
that while a lunar eclipse relates to the fate of the people, a solar
one concerns the government, and having both in the same month is not
a good sign.
He warned that political chaos and conflicts were in the cards for
March and April, reported the Bangkok Post newspaper.
