At conservatives' conference, little love is expressed for GOP
WASHINGTON -- Leading conservatives yesterday attacked the Republican party as big-government, free-spending coddlers of illegal immigrants and said the country's conservatives should withhold support from the GOP's current slate of presidential nominees to force them to the right.

"I feel very angry and betrayed" by the GOP, some of whose elected officials have backed a "guest worker" immigration plan, abortion rights, and tax increases, said Richard Viguerie , chairman of Conservative-HQ.com . "We should withhold support from all major Republican candidates today. Not one of them deserves our support today," he told a ballroom full of activists at the Conservative Political Action Conference's annual meeting yesterday.

At the Conservative Political Action Conference today, which was attended by 2008 Republican Presidential candidates Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, Tom Tancredo (R-CO), Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS), former Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-CA) as well as Vice President Dick Cheney, Ann Coulter referred to Senator John Edwards as a "faggot".

Ann_coulter_2After being introduced by Romney, who said "I am happy to hear that after you hear from me, you will hear from Ann Coulter. That is a good thing. Oh yeah!", Coulter took the stage and said:

"I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word ‘faggot,’ so I — so kind of an impasse, can’t really talk about Edwards." (video http://thinkprogress.org/2007/03/02/coulter-edwards /)

3. Romney-Jeb's guy-attack dogs lined up
We can see how this is going again. The GOP will be saddled with Romeny and the Bushes and the whole sordid machine once again. Hope they enjoy the ride downslope.

4. Is this the group that was on C-span?
I heard of little of that one on terrorist and it sounded like Vietnam. The left, as always, would lose the war and made it happen. I am sure nome of these societies understand each other and I wonder we ever will.

7. What propaganda for them to call themselves 'conservatives'
when if fact they are radical reactionaries intent only on enriching themselves and their corrupt cronies, while failing to conserve anything whatsover of value in the world.
