In honor of Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 follow-up, I'm watching the original.... |

.... and the scene in which the members of the Congressional Black Caucus are desperately pleading to have the objections signed by a Senator, to no avail. Every time I see that scene, I get pissed off beyond belief all over again. :grr: It's almost a form of masochism when I watch it.

1. I think is an awful scene also, but heard that it is only part of the story. |
|
I am willing to listen if I am wrong, as I'd like to not be. What I heard is that Al Gore asked the Senators to not sign, that they were not signing because he asked them to. It hurts to watch it, no matter what though.

2. Yeah, that scene was an eye opener for me. God bless the Congressional Af. Am. women, huh? |
|
As I recall, it was only the women?

3. Plus Alcye Hastings and Jesse Jackson Jr. ..... |
|
.... but Maxine Waters' "and I don't care if it's not signed by the Senate" line is the standout.
