If I Had Known, I Would Have Shown Him My Bare Ass !!!
So... I'm sittin out front of my buddy's tavern, havin a smoke, when all of a sudden a CHP motorcycle officer pulls up and stops in the middle of the intersection, light a-flashin. Quickly behind him comes another CHP motorcycle, followed by five black SUV's, and then another bike.

Now when the five SUV's quickly roll through, all windows are open, and all (I presume) security personnel are intently looking out the windows scanning the folks on the streets from behind huge black sunglasses. Only the middle SUV had it's very tinted windows up. I figured that must have been some sort of important dignitary... maybe Ahnold was cruising through the hood.

But it wasn't an important dignitary. It was:

Apparently, he had been to McGeorge School of Law here in Sacramento, to give a speech. Apparently, the students there do not like the way he has handled his job.

And apparently, they decided not to let media in to see the speech. He and his ilk being Cowards and all.

<snip>

(CBS13) Protesters made a run for it over to McGeorge School of Law today to speak their mind on the war on terror. The target of their anger-- U.S. Attorney General, Alberto Gonzales who was invited to speak at McGeorge.

With a glance and a wave, It didn't take long for the attorney general to figure out he wasn't exactly being welcomed by some in a group of McGeorge students.

...

Protesters ripped the administration and the Attorney General on how they handle so called enemy combatants; the guys at Guantanamo. But that was not all.

The tactics for handling the media's coverage of the attorney general's speech was a bit puzzling today. At first, CBS13 was told we'd be allowed in. Then, they shut all media out.

And although it would not have been the most mature acts of protest to have BA'd dear old uncle albert, it would have been... Oh so satisfying to have done so. If only I had known.

Sigh...

3. I'm sure an ocean or two of beer at the tavern would of
elevated some of the suffering.

13. My vote goes to Gonzales
Ashcroft had true convictions that pushed him in the horrible direction he took.

Gonzo, however, knows better. He wrote a letter to Bush advising him not to allow torture at Abu Ghraib and elsewhere, and then rewrote the letter and reversed his stand -- and all Bush did was ask him to change the letter. Inexcusable.

14. Yeah... You're Right...
At least Ashcroft recused himself from the Plame case and handed it over to a special prosecutor.

Doubt our current AG would have done so.

9. Karma awaits, Abu Gonzalez,
and it ain't gonna be pretty.

Abu Gonzalez and his "quaint torture" theory, a disgrace to the Country and the World.
