The REAL crime of Coulter's comments is the MEDIA blackout

Checking The Indianapolis Star over the last few days and there is nothing about Ann Coulter calling a Democratic candidate for President a "faggot". The Star couldn't get enough of Isaiah Washington, but they seem to be completely ignorant of Coulter's comments.

I wonder if any of the corrupt Sunday morning talking head shows will mention the Coulter comments.

I appreciate her words because the let everyone see what is in the hearts of the repuke crowds that cheered for her and applauded Romney- who introduced the beast-with-an-adams-apple. Family values, sure as long as you are a family member of theirs.

Last night about 9 o'clock I did a google on Ann Coulter and got about 1,330,000 results. Ten minutes later I did the same thing and got 1,340,000 results. I imagine Ann checking google for her name every day and getting off on the results.

This morning I did a google search for Ann Coulter and got 1,910,000 results. Ann must be orgasmic.

The best way to defeat her is to ignore her.

6. I disagree strongly

History has shown on many occasions that "ignoring" this type of speech doesn't work and it often leads to terrible things. Coulter's comments need to be broadcast far and wide primarily because of WHERE she said it. She isn't just a local lunatic spewing vitriol on some bus platform. She was at a MAJOR political event in front of several candidates to be our next President. You are dead wrong about ignoring Coulter. She needs to have her comments hung around EVERY GOP candidate in the months ahead leading to the '08 elections.

8. The Google results simply show that Coulter

has been peddling her hateful speech for years. In fact, one could argue that the reason she is STILL being included in "mainstream" conversations is BECAUSE she and her sponsors have not been confronted in any meaningful way. I propose that Ann Coulter's Google hit count might not be this high if Democrats had confronted her in a coordinated and ongoing manner years ago.

9. Her gaining over one million google results overnight is not because

of something she did years ago. I also suspect that very few of those increased results are caused by her being praised for what she said. My guess is that she and possibly her sponsors are being confronted for what she said.

Ask her if she cares. You can find her over there, she's the one with the huge smile on her face.

Years and years ago my Mother told me I should never repeat a lie, I wouldn't be surprised if your Mother told you the same thing. I think it was smart advise.

Confronting people like Ann Coulter aggressively, openly and relentlessly for making such comments at a forum attended by major political figures is very important. As I wrote earlier, Coulter did not make these statements in some insignificant place, she made them at a conference of GOP leaders. Ignoring her comments is absolutely the wrong thing to do by Democrats.

Now the remarks Coulter made were in front of, for the most part, a like minded crowd. They for the most part don't believe what she said any more than I do. Why, because what she implied was a lie and they knew it. Very few of them would have been foolish enough to be associated with the remark by repeating it.

This was the norm until Clinton became president and the right decided to try and hang him for a blow job. The sex lives as well as many other secrets about Presidents and other high office holders were secrets that were well known to the opposition as well as journalist but never mentioned to the public as late as Bush senior. It was well known that Bush senior had a mistress and even took her on official trips with him. Kennedy's love life is now legendary.

Coulter to the Republican is like the friend you invite to the party, you know he will get drunk and make an ass of himself, but he is mostly harmless and provides entertainment for everyone.

Coulters' message about Edwards is not being spread by the Republicans, it is being spread by us!

Coulter is also not a beast you can break, you must starve her, and she feeds on attention.

It's time we start directly engaging not just Coulter but assholes like her (O'Reilly, Hannity, etc.). Like it or not, they're not just some insignicant media worms. They're a big reason why our country is in the sorry-ass state it is today.

18. I'm of two minds on this

On the one hand, I agree that ignoring her is a good thing in order to deprive her of the attention she seeks.

But on the other hand, I'm a firm believer in calling out assholes and morons when they spread their vile filth, as she does repeatedly.

Overall, I think more good is done by calling her on it and showing her to be the disgusting, horrible person that she is. History has shown that ignoring the kind of ignorance and intolerance that she spews is not the answer. She needs to be held up to the spotlight and her ignorance and intolerance for others needs to be exposed to the light.
