Edited on Sun Mar-04-07 11:09 AM by liberaldemocrat7
This closeted fellow just can't keep his cool.

Southern conservatives just cannot win a war. They lost the civil war and they can't win Iraq.

Lindsey Graham ----> Senator Betrayus

Graham is a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He is an instructor at the JAG school. He is the only senator who serves in the Guard or Reserves.

22. And he has never heard a shot fired in anger. Don't get me wrong.
We need REMFs, but they don't tend to shed a whole lot of blood.

4. Well. There we have the Establishment Perspective.
And seeing how they are the ones Who Pay the Piper, it looks like Graham's will become the mantra under which the Government and Corporate McPravda operate.

5. Promised
Edited on Sun Mar-04-07 09:53 AM by liberalmike27
One wonders what Bush and the RNC, or oil and defense industries have promised the suckup. It is disgusting that he keeps on touting the same loser sayings and bullshit.

Hey, we've won in Iraq as to our purposes. You'd think we'd have learned in Vietnam that it isn't good to be in the middle of a Civil War. Winning to them is perpetual war. This is a sad situation. I hope they can make Republicans pay for taking this unpopular position, and make enough senatorial gains to get the 60 needed, and we can always hope Lieberman has a sudden death by heart attack. Thanks Connecticut, we had a great candidate there and you idiots put that putz back in office.

They are counting on Americans' stupidity, as they continue using the same rhetoric that has not been working. I only hope the democrats are serious about extracting us from Iraq. We need to learn to not get involved in these situations, and use far, far less money to actually help places that ask for help.

13. It could be what they have on LG that makes him toe the line.
I think it could be his sexual orientation and the pictures.

Doesn't Sen. Graham live at home with his mother?

What courage-filled "we" is he talking about?

8. Maybe Bush and the rest of the GOP gang that can't shoot straight ...
... shouldn't have tipped it over in the first place. At least it was stable then. Now they tell us that if it falls it will be catastrophic. Who more Bush and people like Lindsey Graham created the disaster in the first place? When are our people going to say "Thank you for your opinion, war geniuses, but you've made enough of a mess. Sit down and shut up!"

11. When he says we he is speaking only for the GOP
America certainly can allow Iraq ro settle their own affairs without foreign involvement. The GOP said exactly the same thing about Vietnam. Let us let history guide us...

19. Reminds me of Babylon 5
Edited on Sun Mar-04-07 12:43 PM by butlerd
Any B5 fans here remember the whole Shadows philosophy about maintaining a state of chaos among the various races to move us towards evolution? Maybe the Shadows are secretly influencing the Bush (mis-)administration? Maybe what they are doing is deliberately "kicking over anthills" in order to keep us in a state of perpetual warfare for some reason(s)? Of course, my question is, how long can they REALLY keep it going? At some point, I would think that we are likely to either go bankrupt like the Soviet Union, experience a massive revolution among the citizens of this country (Bush has already lost the support of +/-70% of the people of this country-whether we, the people, will actually DO anything if Bush continues to snub us is another matter, though), or we are going to suffer some serious "blowback" in terms of increased terrorist attacks or severe diplomatic problems with or open hostility from other countries whom have been long regarded as strong allies.

18. But they never mention WHY it can't be allowed to fall.
For the most part, I get the feeling that the war supporters are more interested in being right than American security.

They never bother to explain how our day to day life is going to be affected by what happens 8000 miles away.

20. "We're fighting for our freedoms"
That line never ceases to annoy me. Whether we "fail" or "succeed" in Iraq is not going to affect our freedoms or liberty in this country one bit. The REAL threat to our freedoms and liberty is the Bush (mis-)administration and its loyalists right HERE in THIS country!
