Bush admin directly supporting terrorism.

Truthout has the goods.

<snip>

New Yorker columnist Sy Hersh says the "single most explosive" element of his latest article involves an effort by the Bush administration to stem the growth of Shiite influence in the Middle East (specifically the Iranian government and Hezbollah in Lebanon) by funding violent Sunni groups.

Hersh says the U.S. has been "pumping money, a great deal of money, without congressional authority, without any congressional oversight" for covert operations in the Middle East where it wants to "stop the Shiite spread or the Shiite influence." Hersh says these funds have ended up in the hands of "three Sunni jihadist groups" who are "connected to al Qaeda" but "want to take on Hezbollah."

1. Who are Hersh's sources?
I was excited to tell my wife about this and she asked who said this? I didn't know so I looked up the details and it seems that Hersh just says "sources say". So while I believe Hersh, I can't use this article to reach anyones political opinion.

I think the article is matter of factual enough to to speak for itself without naming the sources. Still I think this is the type of thing that no media organization will touch. New Yorker is a literary magazine. I guess they're OK to say "by the way, this is what's under the curtain and we can't tell you how we know."

4. I also wish
hersh would come out with his sources, but it may be the case that the sources specifically did not want to be named due to possible repercussions.

3. As I said in another post on the same subject
This makes it look like they are playing all sides in this
CLUSTERFUCK of a war. And I sure wouldn't put it past them.

And all the while Billions and Billions of taxpayer dollars are pissed away
every week we continue to fight this ridiculous alleged "War On Terra"

OK Nancy it's been two months. We The People said we wanted OUT.
The soldiers that die in March and in the future are your fault.
Their blood is on your hands. You are there to do the will of the people.

5. I agree
I want the impeachment hearings to start already, all of them at once.

As I see it, the Dems inaction makes them just as culpable.
