The Dichotomy: End the War but Don't Cut off Funding
Edited on Sun Mar-04-07 12:11 PM by Laura PackYourBags
Bush and Cheney will NEVER end this invasion unless he has no money to do
it with.

It was so utterly discouraging to hear Murtha on Meet
the Press this morning decline to support funding
cuts.

A NEW PARADIGM is in order:

1. Instead of calling this a WAR - We should call it
what it truly is: an OCCUPATION.

2. Instead of CUTTING FUNDING - We propose a
REALLOCATION OF FUNDING shifting combat-related dollars to
redeployment dollars on a systematic basis.

3. Instead of sitting there speechless when asked about QUITTING,
or GIVING UP, turn it around and accentuate the positive: OUR
MISSION IS COMPLETE - WE SEARCHED FOR WMD - NONE, WE REMOVED A
BRUTAL DICTATOR - WE HELPED THE IRAQIS VOTE AND SET UP A
GOVERNMENT
These are all noble causes.

And before you say - mere words or semantics only - isn't that
EXACTLY what the Democrats seem to fear the most? What "cutting
funding" would sound like in a future campaign?
