Rudy's Son: Judi cause of tension with dad
(snip)

Insiders said yesterday that Giuliani's children - Andrew's sister Caroline is 18 and headed to Harvard University this fall - have long had differences with their father's third wife, Judith, whom Giuliani married in 2002 after publicly flaunting their relationship for months, even while married to Hanover.

Those with knowledge of the situation said the children don't like to be around her and that Giuliani, rather than spend time separately with his kids, has chosen to stick by his new wife's side.

As a result, the former mayor rarely spends time with his children and has missed major events in their lives, including many of Andrew's major golf tournaments and more recent school theatrical productions in which Caroline has starred, sources said.

Indeed, one person said Giuliani learned of his daughter's Harvard admission by reading about it in The News.

1. where are the family values set....
you know the ones that say gay couples can't have children because the best situation for children is when they live with their biological mother and biological father?

Why don't they have a stink about serial wife Guilani who choses the trophy wife over his children?

3. The only family that matters to them is the one you currently have
Previous ones, even children, don't count. He had better hurry up and knock up the new wife soon so as to distract from the fact that he was married with children before.

Should make the family appearances very interesting.

4. Seems like Judi has similar problems with her daughter
From another article:

(snip)

Ms Nathan has her own share of problems, which will be difficult to keep under wraps. Shortly before the September 11 attacks of 2001, her ex-husband sought to gain custody of their daughter, then 19, alleging that the publicity surrounding Ms Nathan's affair with Mr Giuliani had disturbed the girl.

5. Rudi makes Clinton look like a saint.
Rudi is a total egotist who has let the lower half of his body govern the rest of his body for a good many years. What a loser.

So we are left with McCain -- too old and too grumpy and too confused, Brownback -- too rightwing for a nation sickened by the right-wing excesses of the Bush administration -- and Romney. Romney has a charming personality, good looks, a lovely wife and family and is articulate. But, he is going to have a hard time convincing the folks in the deep south that he can be trusted. To gain their confidence, he will have to flip-flop and repudiate the middle of the road stances that got him elected in Massachusetts. He will also have to ridicule the people of Massachusetts -- as he did at the recent conservative reichstag. If he does that, he runs the risk of not even taking his home state in the presidential election. We know what that did to Gore. Also, even though there is not supposed to be a religious test, and even though I strongly support his right to his own beliefs, his Mormon religion could be a problem. Does he really believe that the American Indians are the lost tribe. That has been debunked by DNA evidence. Are we headed for another collision between a faith-based presidency that can't deal with scientific facts? I don't think the American people want four to eight more years of ignoring truth, and Romney will have to deal deftly with that issue. Frankly, I don't think the Republicans have a viable candidate at this time.

This election is up to the Democrats to lose, and we know just how capable they are when it comes to losing elections these days. We need to keep pushing Democrats to stand for progressive values and act on their beliefs or stop running for office.

6. The republicans do not have a viable candidate

The democrats can beat any of them - if we choose a candidate that the people like. If we are stupid enough to let the DLC choose our candidate, we won't win.
