I hope Ann Coulter keeps up her stupid remarks
She is helping our side because most everyone is disgusted by what she is saying and she is making the right wing look like a bunch of nuts.

Keep it up Ann!

3. She knows that it will help her sell books to the radicals though
Edited on Sun Mar-04-07 12:26 PM by Quixote1818
She does this stuff on purpose to sell books. All she cares about is being in the spotlight and making money off her hate. She doesn't even care that what she does hurts the right wing. She is only concerned about herself.

14. Your parenthetical question marks are so insensitive!!!
I can't believe that I have to tolerate such close-minded beliefs in a supposedly progressive forum!!!! You, sir, are worse than Hitler!

18. Good Grief! I'm a bum.
Sorry...no I'm not. I'm Coulter's worst nightmare. And if she(?) appears in my dreams, I may jump off the bridge.

4. a much more important point. she provides cover
for all of our candidates.

It is a long, hectic, and debilitating campaign. A marathon punctuated by fund-raising calls, public appearances, cold food on stage, exhausted, burned out aides, and travel. Each one of them is bound to say something stupid. Dear Annie provides us with great cover.

7. and makes them into sympathetic people
There are some out there who don't care that much about political stance as about politeness. And her calling our candidates names, and especially with Edward's response--he's gained sympathy from an element of the voters who generally are in the "undecided" category more than in one camp or the other.

9. frankly, Edwards' response got even less coverage (if possible) than her
original attack. I missed it. What did he say?

6. What is she doing different now than she has been doing for over a decade?
She wrote at least two vitriolic books where she used far more inflammatory rhetoric yet no one said anything. She has basically said forthright Liberals are traitors to the USA yet only when she calls someone a faggot does anyone raise an eyebrow.

12. She is useful to them too.
She is a proxy that can express the most hateful sentiments for the Republicans that actually need to hear them. And then the ones who need to maintain cover can "disapprove" of her remarks. But they won't tell her to shut up! I agree that it gives us ammo. It's a trade off.

17. I don't think much will be done about what Coulter said.
I just saw a news clip on CNN Headline news and it played the cspan clip of her comment but before they played it, the reporter said something like Ann Coulter has united both Democrats and Republicans with a comment she made. The reporter also said that some republicans have denounced her comment and the Romney spokesman says it was an offensive remark. That's all.
