1. Have you heard his recent album?

The third song, I think it's called "I'm an American", pretty much defines what I feel it is to be an American. None of this macho bullshit cowboy stuff we've been hearing the last few years, but the real deal.

Example: "I'm an American, I like my heroes honest and strong."

I think he's come a long way and done a lot of introspection for this album which might have resulted in identifying himself as a leftie. Of course I've been a fan forever, so it might just be my inner fanboy talking.
