3. I guess his 1993 economic plan to reduce the deficit wasn't policy?
:shrug:

4. Great post BTH
I wasn't personally a fan of many of them. Yes we enjoyed economic growth etc etc. but I knew NAFTA at least would be the clusterfuck it is. Bill was a great statesman but unfotunately he couldn't DO as much as he potentially could have due to the BS, which however ludacris the ensuing investigation and impeachment may have been we can't argue that the man didn't bring it on himself and consequently America got some collateral damage from it. Clinton was great for this country but I was happy to be rid of him. Well, in theory anyway. In hindsight. Yeah I'd rather have him, or ANYONE in there instead of the spawn of hell we have now. I also had the unfortunate privledge of being on welfare for a time during Mr. Clinton's "reform" of it and I can assure you that was quite the FUBAR situation as well.

5. damned little, frankly....
The number of Clinton administration policies that I disapproved of far outweigh the number that I supported, but I'll resist the temptation to go there. Instead, to answer your question, I supported:

the Family and Medical Leave Act;

the Omnibus Budget Reduction Act;

his initial policy regarding gays and military service (although don't ask don't tell became something of a disaster);

his attempt to reform health care, although it was not really very clear where that would have ended up, so I support the concept anyway;

and that's about it.

7. Clinton signed the Brady Bill but didn't initiate it....
It's hard to say it was one of "his" policies, which is why I omitted it from my list. The Brady Bill was championed by Sarah Brady for nearly a decade before Clinton was elected.

9.  SCHIP - crafted by Kennedy and Kerry and supported/signed by Bill Clinton.

The anti-terrorism bill...again, crafted by senate leaders and pushed by Clinton.

The 1993 tax increase as part of the economic policy.

11. Everything about him!
8 years of Peace and Prosperity! Virtually no war.

Great relations overseas.

Great control of terrorism, home and abroad.

Great control of stateside crisis like Waco.

Growth of our nations resources.

Nearly getting National Health Care.

Control of Firearms, getting assault weapons out of the hands of criminals.

One of the best ever.

12. Part of that was the economy of the time, not any true MAGIC by the Big Dog.
Edited on Sun Mar-04-07 03:55 PM by ShortnFiery
We could have got a helluva lot more done in his last two years if he could have kept his fly zipped. :eyes:

p.s. Waco was a disaster and we'll need all the firearms we can legally aquire ;) should the button be pressed. <partly tongue-in-cheek> I'm a proud gun owner of rifles and shotguns. Psst! If they are CLOSE, you just can't miss with a shotgun. ;)

14. Just think of how terrorism would've been controlled if he allowed the books opened
on Poppy Bush's dealings instead of letting Poppy Bush and his cronies go unhampered.

Had Clinton believed more in truth and open government than in protecting secrecy and privilege of the Bushes, he would have been a TRULY GREAT PRESIDENT, and no events like 9-11 or this Iraq war would ever have occurred.
