Camp Casey Peace Awards

Honoring the following for their dedication and committment to Peace. Their passion for Peace has helped to make the Camp Casey Peace movement a force to be reckoned with.

Willie and Annie Nelson Willie and Annie have been in the forefront of developing and promoting the use of Bio Diesel fuel. They combined their enviromental concerns with Camp Casey and the Peace movment over the summer by donating a BioDiesel Generator and fuel to keep it running to Camp Casey.

Jodie Evans and CODEPINK Jodie and CODEPINK were amongst the first to come to the rescue when Cindy began her vigil. Cindy has said many times that she would've hopped the first train out of Crawford if Jodie and CODEPINK had not arrived when they had. Jodies Bio

Ann Wright and the Veterans for Peace Ann marched with us down Prairie Chapel road on day one and has been with us ever since. Ann is our Commandant and Camp Casey is for ever greatful for her gentle leadership. Read Anns Americans who tell the truth bio.

The Crawford Peace House The Crawford Peace House, Johnny Wolf, Hadi Jawad and Kay Lucas have been supporters of Camp Casey since the first day we walked down Prairie Chapel Road into history. A major part of Camp Casey's success is owed to The CPH.

Ava Lowery the 16 year old peace activist from Alabama behind the website, PeaceTakesCourage.com, and has received an amazing amount of attention. Ava's animations show the multidimensional tragedy of the Iraq war- losses of brave young soldiers to American families, and loss of innocent civilians in Iraq. Poignant and raw, Ava's youth and sincerity has attracted support from a broad base of both soldiers and activists. Ava is the Camp Casey Peace Institutes first Young activist Peace award winner.

1. I would love to go to this
I think I am coming down for Easter at Camp Casey. But it will be a day's drive, a day at CC and then a day driving home. I can't get down there by Thursday night for this dinner.

3. I think most of the people who will be at the dinner will also be at
Camp Casey for Easter, so you'll get to mingle anyway.
OT: How are you? And your trip to Crawford sounds brutal travelwise.

7. I'm tired today
We had a state Dem event in Topeka so I was there from Friday night until late last night. I feel like I have had no weekend. I decided to skip our protest today and just lounge.

So are you coming to Crawford at Easter? I really think I will come down for the day. I have Good Friday off so I have the time.
