Montoya becomes first Latino NASCAR winner

Juan Pablo Montoya won the NASCAR Busch race in Mexico City today. This is Montoya's first year as a full-time driver on the NASCAR Busch and Nextel Cup series. Watching him go from 19th to 1st in the last 20 or so laps was amazing, especially on a road course.

1. He was great, just as I expected. That Pruett thing reminded me so

much of Earnhart Sr, Montoya's style will make him an aggressive contender everytime he has a decent car, just like Earnhart Sr.

Had to TIVO the race for later so thought I would come in to DU to read the poltiical healdines since nobody is going to ruin it and report a Busch race result in DU. Guess I was wrong, hope it was good for you.

3. I enjoyed the race greatly....

...also loved the international flavor of the opening ceremonies.The race was good,the officiating so-so.I still wish that at least SOME of the races could get off at the old start times (12-1 pm EST) but I guess that's all over as Nascar pushes for West Coast fans and prime time finishes...Montoya is showing signs of being a real breakthrough driver on several fronts.

5. this guy is versatility. One year in CART and wins the Indy 500

goes Formula One - does great. Didn't know he was going NASCAR - but good for him. He is an amazing driver.
